What foods You Should Avoid When You Are Suffering From Heartburn


If you have a problem with heartburn, it is very important to keep a track in order to isolate the foods that may cause heartburn in your own diet. You may notice that you only experienced heartburn after you enjoying the meal.

SIZES OF MEAL
For those people who are having a trouble finding a specific foods that may cause heartburn to your body, the sizes of meal that you tend to eat might be the major factor that may lead to heartburn. When you are over eating, the stomach acid has more tendency to leak up into the lower esophagus or throat and cause the burning sensation.

BEVERAGES

There are certain cases which the person is typically eat in a small quantity meals and avoiding the foods that may lead to burning sensation in throat, check out what types of drinks he/she choose to have. Coffee, carbonated drinks, alcoholic beverages, citrus drink, chocolate and chocolate flavoured drink are a few examples that may cause heartburn.But bear in mind that each types of drink might have a different impact on each person.

MEAT
The other type of foods that you should check out whether it may cause heartburn to youserlf is a meat. Pork and bacon are the great examples of foods that you should avoid if you have a tendency to get heartburn, especially when those meats are fried, have lot of visible fat or that have been flavored with garlic or onion.


FRUITS & VEGETABLES
Fruits and vegetables, most are safe to eat unless you add butter or other type of oils for better taste. Tomatoes, onions, peppers and citrus fruits are foods that cause heartburn in some people due to the high level of acid in it. These acidic fruits will lead to excess stomach acid  and may cause heartburn. The causes of heartburn are vary for each people. Some people may bothered by fried or spicy foods but not bothered by tomatoes or oranges which contain high level of acid.

DAIRY PRODUCTS

How about dairy products? Most of dairy products are safe to enjoy, unless they are high in fat. Whole fat cheeses are foods not to eat with heartburn tendencies.

SPICES
It is very important to know what kind of spices you are going to use in your planning menu. Garlic may bring on heartburn.

OTHERS
Other foods that cause heartburn in some people because of they are highly acidic include eggs, legumes, certain nuts, animal fats, vegetable oils, pasta, beef, pork, white flour, starches and sugars. As you can see, it is not possible to avoid all of these foods, all the time.

It may not be necessary to remove all of the foods that cause heartburn from your diet. It may simply be a matter of eating less of them or eating them less often. If you like spicy foods, you may be willing to deal with the symptoms of heartburn in order to keep eating the foods that you like.

Occasional heartburn is not serious, but frequent heartburn can eventually erode the lining of the esophagus. The frequency and causes of heartburn vary from individual to individual and can only truly be evaluated by you and your doctor.
